Our mission is to educate our audiences about different cultures through music, while bringing more acceptance and understanding of their differences into the community.
Based in New York City, 13th Street Winds is a diverse quintet who strive to spread diversity and culture through music. The group is composed of a wide range of international and ethnic backgrounds, and are making their presence known in NYC through outreach programs, fellowship opportunities, and numerous performances. This past summer, members of the group partook in the Imani Winds Summer Music Festival where they worked side by side with the Imani Winds, performing music featuring African, Latin American, and American influences. You can also find 13th Street Winds performing through the Orchestra of St. Luke's Young Artist Series for the 2017/18 year.
